MLB Reporter Nailed by Brutal Foul Ball, Reveals Gruesome Injury PicsAudra Martin (Photo via Instagram)
FOX Sports reporter Audra Martin has shown off her nasty bruise after getting hit by a foul ball while minding her own business and doing her job on the sidelines.

Martin joined the FOX Sports North broadcast crew nearly 10 years ago and works as a sideline reporter and studio host, covering Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Wild affairs.

Since then, the network has gone through a few ownership transitions, with Bally Sports taking over and probably deciding they didn’t want it anymore before handing it over to FanDuel. Even so, the network’s MLB core has remained mostly the same.

Audra has been around for some time, yet she hadn’t had the complete experience as she was never hit by a rogue ball before. Thankfully, she’s “kinda squishy” in the midsection, or the blow could have been a lot worse, though not nearly as bad as getting hit in the head, which we are relieved to relay, did not happen.

Martin has had some close calls over the years, having used her notebook as a shield from a foul ball in 2017.

Of course, she’s always at risk of getting hit by readily identified flying objects such as broken bats and, of course, foul balls, given that she’s mainly at the end of the dugout.

Martin took one to the gut recently, and it left her with a gruesome bruise. While she didn’t share any footage, nor can we find any, she has the temporary battle scar to prove it. And it appears it will take her a few weeks to be completely rid.

Check her post out below:

Thankfully, the ball hit her in a “squishy” location, as she could have sustained broken ribs or a badly damaged hip had it landed a bit higher or a bit lower.

Audra would know better than most that life comes at you fast, and so do baseballs.

She might be sporting her bruise for about a month, by our estimates.
