The Kansas City Chiefs have explained why they kept quiet after a bullet entered Andy Reid’s office in a sh00ting incident at the team’s facility last year.

On Wednesday, a shocking report from the Kansas City Star revealed that a bullet was fired into the team’s practice facility late one evening in May 2024 while the head coach was still inside his office.

Police are still investigating the incident and, according to The Athletic, have said that “there is no indication this was a targeted incident at any person or organization.”

The Chiefs, who made a notable wide receiver trade this week, held their annual luncheon on Thursday, where president Mark Donovan explained that they made a conscious decision to keep the incident under wraps while conducting investigations alongside the Kansas City Police Department.

“Then we went back and said, ‘OK, here’s where we are. Here’s the situation. Here’s what we’ve determined happened. What’s the next step, both from a PR standpoint (and) from a communication standpoint?’” Donovan said. “And we made our decisions and moved on.”

Kansas City Chiefs Reportedly Install Bulletproof Glass In Andy Reid’s Office After Scare

According to the report, two bullets hit the building while another hit a wall around 15 feet from Reid’s desk sometime after midnight.

Police noted that overnight security personnel told them that someone in the building had told them about a noise and had observed what appeared to be a bullet hole in the window.

KCPD confirmed that the officers responded and that an investigation is still underway, with no arrests made to date.

Donovan said that the team opted not to make it public, having taken advice from investigation, communication, and safety experts.

“We decided this was the right path to take,” he said.

Per the Star, Reid’s office is now protected by bulletproof glass. Donovan would not confirm this, although he indicated that the team now works more closely with security personnel.

This comes at a time when the NFL is looking to upgrade security measures across all 32 teams following the sh00ting near its New York headquarters last month.

“Our focus and priority is keeping our staff, our fans and everybody involved with our organization safe,” Donovan added.

Brittney Griner Finally Breaks Her Silence Over Alleged Caitlin Clark Comments That The WNBA Refused To Investigate

WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.

The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.

The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”

However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.

It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.

Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.

The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.

Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got aw@y with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.

This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
