NBA players are often seen wearing their emotions on their sleeves, whether it’s the thrill of a career milestone or the heartbreak of a devastating loss. For Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic, such moments aren’t new. He’s been caught emotional on camera several times before. However, this Sunday’s moment had nothing to do with basketball.
Instead of the hardwood floor, Jokic’s emotional moment took place on the sidelines of a horse racing track in his native Serbia. The two-time MVP has been spending his offseason away from the limelight of the NBA and once again went viral after a heartwarming video surfaced online.
In the clip, Jokic is visibly moved as his horse crossed the finish line first in a local race. He rushed to hug his horse and the trainer and was unable to hold back his tears. It was a beautiful and raw display of emotion from a player typically known for his calm and reserved attitude on the court.
Seeing Jokic break down in joy over horse racing is a sharp contrast to his dominant presence in the NBA. Last season, Jokic once again delivered an MVP-caliber performance, averaging 29.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 10.2 assists per game. He led the Nuggets into the playoffs for the seventh straight year, though the team failed to make a deep postseason run.
Fans React To Nikola Jokic’s Passion For Horses

Social media lit up with reactions to Jokic’s heartfelt moment. Many fans found it amusing and deeply telling. Despite his achievements on the court, it’s clear that Jokic’s true passion lies elsewhere, and fans took notice.
“That’s crazy how the best basketball player in the world doesn’t even have basketball as his favourite sport,” one fan remarked.
Another fan echoed the thought, writing, “Man Jokic loves them horses way more than he does basketball.”
One comment read, “Absolute legend. He’s the best player in the NBA and still gets more excited about his horses than basketball. Genius.”
“The man clearly wanted to be a jockey but was forced into basketball because of his size. He doesn’t have the same passion for basketball,” one user commented.
“He legit loves this so much more than basketball,” another wrote.
“When you realize the NBA is the side quest,” one fan commented.
One simply reacted by writing, “Bro has never been this happy in his entire NBA career.”
Jokic’s emotional celebration reminds the world that greatness doesn’t always stem from a deep love of the game. Rather sometimes it comes from a quiet passion that lies far beyond the arena.
Brittney Griner Finally Breaks Her Silence Over Alleged Caitlin Clark Comments That The WNBA Refused To Investigate
Brittney Griner (Photo via Twitter)
WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.
The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.
The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”
However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.
It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.
Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”
This is the first time I’ve heard Brittney Griner speak! 🤨

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.
The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.
Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got aw@y with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.
This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
