Some friendships never fade. Even when one half is gone, the bond keeps a special place in your heart. Dennis Rodman knew exactly what to say when wrestling legend Hulk Hogan di3d of cardiac arrest on July 24. Just four words. Simple, raw, real.

“N.W.O. 4 Life Brother.”

Rodman posted that emotional post on Instagram, tagging his old friend and adding, “Always and Forever, Thank you for the Memories we Created History. Great Friend indeed. Keep his family in prayers #toosweet #hulk.”

Rodman And Hogan Was More Than Just Tag Team Partners

Rodman and Hogan were more than just teammates in the ring. They were legit brothers in arms. Back in the late ’90s, they ruled World Championship Wrestling as members of the notorious New World Order. Villains on screen, yes. But off-screen? Brothers.

Rodman first stepped into the wrestling world at WCW’s 1995 Bash at the Beach. He wasn’t a heel then. He was a surprise helper in Hulk’s match against Big Van Vader, taking out interferences with a steel chair like he’d been doing it forever. By 1997, he was fully in the nWo mix, tagging with Hogan against The Giant and Lex Luger.

 

Then came the blockbuster 1998 Bash at the Beach. Rodman and Hogan vs. Diamond Dallas Page and Karl Malone. Two NBA legends, two WCW icons. It was wild. Rodman even skipped an NBA Finals practice to make a surprise appearance on “WCW Nitro.” Chicago reporters nearly had a meltdown.

Their bond didn’t end when the WCW curtain fell. When Hulk’s daughter Brooke released her debut album in 2006, Rodman was at the party. When Hogan faced backlash in 2015 over racist remarks, Rodman stood up for him, writing, “There isn’t a racist bone in that mans body.”

Eric Bischoff, who ran WCW during those glory days, once said their chemistry was real because their friendship was real. “It wasn’t the money,” Bischoff said. “Dennis got a chance to work with Hulk Hogan, and the little kid came out. The little kid who grew up as a wrestling fan in Texas.”

That’s why Rodman’s four words hit harder than a steel chair. It wasn’t just a tribute. It was a goodbye from one warrior to another.

WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.

The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.

The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”

However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.

It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.

Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.

The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.

Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got aw@y with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.

This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
