Caitlin Clark remains out due to an injury, but her team is playing well without her on the court. Of course, it’s a difficult situation for the former No. 1 overall WNBA Draft pick.
“I think the most challenging part of all this is … obviously, I have the first injury, and I sit out four games and then I come back and play really well,” Clark said, while speaking to WNBA legend Sue Bird on her “Birds Eye View” podcast. “I feel really good. Even just the beginning of the year, I played great. My numbers were great. I was shooting the ball well and then I get hurt.
“I was like, ‘OK, gotta get healthy, whatever,’ I gotta do what I can to be back where I was. … As an athlete, you’re like, I don’t wanna be soft. So I think that’s been the hardest part, the stop-and-go of everything.”
The Fever, meanwhile, have been playing well without her, beating the Sky, 92-70, on Saturday evening. Fever head coach Stephanie White was praised for her “petty” move during that game.

Late in the game, Fever head coach Stephanie White chose to challenge a foul call on Brianna Turner. The game was already decided at that point, but White chose to challenge the call instead. She wanted Turner to get credited with a block.
Fans applauded White for her “petty” move.
WNBA fans quickly took to social media to praise White for her “petty” challenge during the Chicago Sky vs. Indiana Fever game.
“I thought that, but it was a good confidence booster for Turner,” one fan wrote.
“I was glad to see it. Bri doesn’t see the floor much and that was a tremendous block and I’m glad that, because of the challenge, she gets credit for it,” one fan added.
“Turner had a great block and deserved the stat,” one fan added.
The Fever got the win on Saturday night, improving to 18-14 on the season.
