Nick Danbrowney had a lot more life to live and many more things to accomplish before his untimely demise.
According to 13NewsNow, citing North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Danbrowney lost his life due to a vehicle accident where he was said to be a front-seat passenger in a 2023 Ford Explorer driven by 65-year-old Rosario Edgar of Georgia.
Edgar was heading north on NC 12 just after midnight in Corolla when he lost control at a high rate of speed, hit an embankment, and flipped multiple times, the outlet reported.
Bill Rogan, the Train Robbers manager, said the news of Danbrowney’s d3ath left him numb, per NJ1015.
“Our entire team is devastated. Even though we went our separate ways after the season, we’re still a close-knit group. We’re having trouble dealing with this. Nick was a gentleman off the field and a terrific pitcher on the mound with a bright future. We loved Nick and will never forget him,” Rogan said.
Unfortunately, 2025 has been filled with a ton of young athletes departing the Earth, as we saw with Baltimore Orioles prospect Luis Guevara, who lost his life at age 19 in a watercraft crsh in June.
Two jet skis, carrying a total of four people, collided head-on and sent everyone into the water before they were pulled ashore for medical aid by onlookers. Guevara did not make it.
More On Baseball Star Nick Danbrowney’s Shocking Demise
The New Jersey baseball community has been hit with tragedy after Nick Danbrowney, a Barnegat HS grad and star right-handed pitcher on the baseball team, was tragically k%lled in a car accident on August 18.
Unfortunately, Danbrowney was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected and k%lled, likely on impact.
Edgar di3d at the hospital, and a third passenger was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, 13NewsNow said.
Danbrowney was a member of the Bakersfield Train Robbers, a ball club in the Pecos League, an independent league not associated with Major League Baseball.
He signed with the professional team in June, just after he graduated from Ramapo College with a major in social science.
In his final season at Ramapo, Nick Danbrowney broke the college’s record for strikeouts with 225 throughout his tenure. He had seven wins and three losses.
Danbrowney was named to the All-Region Third Team with Ramapo College in 2025.
Brittney Griner Finally Breaks Her Silence Over Alleged Caitlin Clark Comments That The WNBA Refused To Investigate
Brittney Griner (Photo via Twitter)
WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.
The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.
The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”
However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.
It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.
Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”
This is the first time I’ve heard Brittney Griner speak! 🤨

WNBA Chooses Not To Investigate Brittney Griner

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.
The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.
Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got aw@y with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.
This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
