Byron and HR head Kristin Cabot sparked widespread controversy after they were both caught cheating on their spouses.
The viral video came from a Coldplay concert where the band used a kiss cam moment to engage the audience. Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin, made a light comment after noticing the couple’s reaction. He said, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” followed by, “Hope we didn’t do something wrong.”
It turns out they did something very bad.
Chris Martin and his band Coldplay had no idea that they would make Andy Byron a household name in the worst possible way. Now, they might have to pay for their actions.
According to a new report, Byron is allegedly going to sue Coldplay for that kiss cam scandal that turned his life upside down.
Unfortunately for Andy Byron, it appears he is going to have to accept his loss like a man.
Ron Zambrano of the Los Angeles-based West Coast Employment Lawyers told The Mirror: “Any legal claims from Byron would be dead on arrival. He has no grounds to sue.”
Zambrano went on: “First, it would immediately be struck down as a restriction on creative speech and Coldplay’s ability to be artistic during their performances.
“Second, Byron and Cabot waived their right to privacy when they decided to attend a public event, so their public display of affection is on them, not on Coldplay. They just got caught.”
