Sheinelle announced her book on Today in September 2024
The book’s original release date was April 15, 2025, but then was quietly moved to October 21.

However, now fans can’t get their hands on it until next year.

It is unclear if the literary postponement signals a delay in her return to Today, where she has not appeared since December.

COPING WITH TRAGEDY

The time off is understandable, as Sheinelle, 47, has been mourning the tragic death of her husband, Uche Ojeh at just 45.

On May 23, Sheinelle’s Today co-workers tearfully announced her husband of 17 years had died following a brave, private battle with brain cancer.

“With profound sadness, we share this morning that Uche Ojeh, the husband of our friend and Today co-host Sheinelle Jones, has passed away after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer called glioblastoma,” Savannah Guthrie told viewers.

“There are no words for the pain we feel for Sheinelle and their three young children.

“Uche was an incredible person. We all loved him.”

Sheinelle, who quietly stepped away from work to deal with a “family health matter” around the holidays, broke her silence to thank her colleagues for their support.

“Thank you, for all of your love and support,” she wrote on Instagram after reposting the Today announcement.

Since then, she has remained away from public life to mourn the tragedy.

But Today staffers have said Sheinelle plans to return to her job when the time is right.

“One of us on the team talks to her every single day, and we’re there to support her,” Dylan Dreyer said in May.

“We’ll welcome her back with open arms the second she can get back to us.”

A source previously told The U.S. Sun that execs are planning to promote Sheinelle to Jenna Bush Hager’s official co-host on the show’s fourth hour.

“They need someone who can throw to break, someone who knows the craft of making TV work, and Sheinelle is a pro,” the source explained.

Upon her return to work, Sheinelle will promote her first book, which will “combine insights from celebrity mothers with her own journey through modern parenting,” her publisher has said.

For her book, Sheinelle interviewed the mothers of Lady Gaga, Jessica Simpson, The Jonas Brothers, Venus and Serena Williams, and more celebrities.
