The Week the Woke Went Wild
There was a time when Hollywood stars spoke their lines and left the heavy lifting to the grown-ups. Now, the red carpet crowd can’t help but trip over their own egos, trading scripts for soapboxes and, in the process, exposing just how far they’ve fallen from the pedestal we once built for them. This week, the circus came to town—and the ringleader was none other than MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace, whose Trump obsession has careened past the point of parody.
Let’s set the scene: it’s a typical morning in America, but on social media, the usual suspects are already foaming at the mouth. Actors, activists, and cable news hosts, all locked in a desperate race to out-virtue one another. The result? A parade of self-defeating, tone-deaf, and downright bizarre outbursts that left even their supporters scratching their heads.
“With Love,” He Condemns Half the Country
First up, Jason Bateman—usually charming, always scripted, and now, suddenly, an expert on the American electorate. In a jaw-dropping interview with MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace, Bateman delivered this clunker:
“Do you think Trump would have gotten the same number of votes if the people who voted for him had access to or the curiosity to seek out and find the truth?”
The irony was so thick you could cut it with a butter knife. Here was a Hollywood millionaire, lecturing “the rubes” about truth—on a network that spent four years pushing the Russian collusion hoax, the “fine people” hoax, the “suckers and losers” hoax, and even fell for Jussie Smollett’s tall tales. As Bateman rambled on, you could almost see the ghost of Hillary Clinton’s “deplorables” moment hovering over his shoulder.
Bateman’s solution? “Why won’t you dumb rubes just vote for the Democrats or a RINO?” he seemed to plead, before adding, “I say that with love.” Love, apparently, means condemning half your countrymen as ignorant. The performance was so cringe-worthy even Alfred Hitchcock’s infamous cattle comment seemed too kind.
From Meltdown to Melodrama
But the real showstopper was Nicolle Wallace herself. While Bateman was busy wringing his hands over Trump voters, Wallace was on air, gutted—her word, not ours—over the deportation of gang members to El Salvador. “I wish I could stop thinking about these guys being scared in El Salvador,” she confessed, voice trembling with anguish.
The audience blinked. Where was this empathy for American victims—Lake and Riley, Rachel Morren, Joselyn Nongari? Nowhere to be found. But Wallace wasn’t done. In a moment that left even her MSNBC colleagues aghast, she turned her venom on DJ Daniel, a cancer survivor and honorary Secret Service agent, appointed by Trump. “But I hope he never has to defend the US Capitol against Trump supporters. And if he does, I hope he isn’t one of the six who loses his life to suicide…”
The studio fell silent. Even her fellow anchors looked on, horrified. If this was journalism, it was journalism in need of a serious intervention.

Activists and Actors Out of Control
Meanwhile, the parade of left-wing outrage continued. Charlize Theron delivered a lecture short on facts and long on fear: “Immigration policy is destroying families. Women’s rights are vanishing. Queer and trans lives are being erased.” The script was pure Hollywood—dramatic, overwrought, and untethered from reality.
And then there’s the new breed of TikTok activists, like Lily Tino, who made headlines for storming out of a Disney restaurant after being called “sir” by a waiter. “I no longer feel safe here,” he declared, abandoning a perfectly good bread tower. The staff apologized, but the damage was done—at least in his mind. The performance was so over-the-top it made the bread look well-balanced by comparison.
When the Left Can’t Live by Its Own Rules
But perhaps the most revealing moment came not from an actor or activist, but a nonprofit executive. Republican Brandon Gil grilled Diane Yentel, president of the National Council of Nonprofits, on her organization’s own definition of “covert white supremacy”—which, apparently, includes denying you’re a racist.
“Are you a covert white supremacist?”
“I’m here to talk about the work nonprofits do.”
“So you refuse to answer whether you are a covert white supremacist?”
“I don’t have a definition in front of me…”
The exchange was pure theater, exposing the left’s inability to play by its own ever-shifting rules.
Cosplay Socialists and the Fantasy World of the Woke
Not to be outdone, New York City’s up-and-coming socialist Zoran Mandani shared tales of his “third world” struggles—while dining in luxury and winning votes in the city’s wealthiest neighborhoods. As documentarian Ami Horowitz quipped, “He dominated the luxury belief voters, but lost the working class. They know what it’s like when you don’t have police on the streets. They can’t afford to live in his fantasy world.”
Senator Chris Murphy gushed about Mandani’s radical proposals, insisting Democrats would win more elections if they just moved further left. Horowitz shook his head. “Fifty out of fifty states trended toward Trump last election. The more the left moves left, the more voters walk away.”
The Globalist Encore Nobody Asked For
Even the old guard got in on the act. Barack Obama and George W. Bush joined Bono to decry Trump’s cuts to US foreign aid. But as Horowitz noted, the money was going to DEI musicals in Iceland, transgender comics in Peru, and even organizations linked to terrorist groups. “US aid was absorbed into the State Department. The important stuff is still funded—the nonsense is gone.”
When the Ratings Don’t Lie
And finally, the schadenfreude at CNN, where anchor Caitlyn Collins bought a Nantucket beach house while colleagues faced layoffs. “Good for her,” Horowitz shrugged. “Let her buy all the beach houses she wants. But if you can’t pull in ratings, you don’t get the perks.”
“Nicolle Wallace Needs Help”
Retired media analyst John L. Parker put it bluntly: “Nicolle Wallace’s on-air breakdowns aren’t journalism—they’re therapy sessions. She’s so blinded by Trump hatred, she’s lost all sense of proportion. When your empathy is reserved for gang members over American victims, it’s time for a reality check.”
Political strategist Lisa Grant agreed: “The left’s descent into self-parody is accelerating. The more they lecture, the more voters tune them out. If MSNBC wants to survive, it might start by getting its own house in order—and maybe getting Nicolle Wallace the help she so clearly needs.”
