Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton has shared an emotional update about his beloved bulldog Roscoe, who is currently in critical condition after suffering from pneumonia.

Roscoe’s Health Scare
On Friday, Hamilton took to social media to let fans know that Roscoe had been admitted to the hospital. The 39-year-old driver explained that Roscoe had been struggling to breathe due to pneumonia and was sedated for medical checks. During the procedure, Roscoe’s heart stopped.
Thankfully, veterinarians were able to revive him, but Roscoe is now in a coma. Hamilton wrote:
“Please keep Roscoe in your thoughts. I want to keep you all updated. Roscoe caught pneumonia again and was struggling to breathe. He was admitted into hospital and sedated to calm him while they did checks on him and during the process his heart stopped. They managed to get a heartbeat back and now he’s in a coma. We don’t know whether he will wake from this. Tomorrow we’ll try to wake him up. I’m by his side and want to thank you all for your prayers and support.”
A Bond Beyond Racing
Lewis Hamilton has often spoken about how much Roscoe means to him, frequently sharing photos of his dog traveling with him to Formula 1 races around the world. The bulldog has become a fan favorite, with millions of followers sending messages of love and support.
Roscoe has been by Hamilton’s side for many important moments in his life and career, making this update especially heartbreaking for fans who have grown to love him.

Since Hamilton’s post, social media has been filled with supportive messages from fans and fellow athletes. Many are sending prayers and hoping Roscoe pulls through this health battle.
Lewis Hamilton remains at Roscoe’s side in the hospital, waiting to see if his beloved companion will wake from the coma.
