Shocking footage of federal immigration agents dragging a woman wearing medical scrubs out of her car has emerged on social media, illustrating the extreme lengths ICE officers are going to under the Trump administration’s orders.
The woman in medical scrubs was said to be on her way to work in Florida when ICE stopped her. In the video, she can be seen being dragged out of her car while resisting and sounding scared and in distress.
The footage displays a highly upsetting scene, as several officers proceed to pin down the woman, who can then be heard and seen screaming, “I’m a U.S. citizen, please help me. This is unfair. Why are you doing this to me?”
The video was recorded by a Miami Herald reporter at about 9:15 a.m. in Key Largo, in front of the Pink Plaza at mile marker 103.4. The federal agents are said to have stopped the woman driving a white Toyota Corolla and surrounded the vehicle, according to the Miami Herald.

The outlet says the woman was released a short time after the incident, which occurred while border patrol agents were operating at Rowell’s Waterfront Park at mile marker 104.5 on the bayside of Key Largo from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the unidentified woman refused to hand over her driver’s license and roll down her window when she was pulled over. When the officers found her driver’s license, they realised the woman was a U.S. citizen and let her go.
Agency spokesman Alan Regalado told the Miami Herald, “She refused to cooperate and identify herself with all levels of law enforcement there.”
Florida is home to one of the largest immigration detention centers, named Aligator Alcatraz, that has been consistently hitting the headlines this year.
Amnesty International released a new report on Thursday, 4 December, documenting cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment at two immigration detention centers in Florida. These are The Everglades Detention Facility (“Alligator Alcatraz”) and the Krome North Service Processing Center (Krome).
The report shows alleged human rights violations that, in some cases, amount to torture, occurring at Krome and “Alligator Alcatraz”. It notes that people detained in “Alligator Alcatraz” are living in inhuman and unsanitary conditions, with overflowing toilets with fecal matter seeping into where people are sleeping.
Additionally, they are alleged to have limited access to showers, exposure to insects without protective measures, lights that are on 24 hours a day, poor-quality food and water, and a lack of privacy, including cameras above the toilets.
“Krome’s extreme overcrowding, medical neglect, and reports of humiliating and degrading treatment paint a picture of harrowing human rights violations,” said Amy Fischer, Director of Refugee and Migrant Rights with Amnesty International USA.
ICE agents have descended onto cities across the U.S. as part of the Trump Administration’s war on immigration, most recently with significant operations in Minneapolis and New Orleans.
