Grieving widow Erika Kirk has revealed she wears the blood-stained pendant of St. Michael that her husband Charlie was wearing when he was sh0t.
The small icon, with blood traces in the crevice of the cross, was ripped from Kirk’s body by medics as they attempted to stop the bleeding after he was sh0t at a Turning Point USA event in Utah less than two weeks ago, Erika told the New York Times.
Erika, 36, revealed that she and others in her husband’s circle had heard him suggest before that he could die a violent death.

The night before the Sept. 10 sh00ting, Erika and Charlie met with a faith leader friend for dinner in the Phoenix area to pray ahead of Kirk’s imminent tour of some 20 college campuses.
Erika recalled that she and her friend were both worried about Kirk’s safety, as his college appearances frequently drew divisive crowds.
She revealed that Kirk had been receiving numerous death threats over the past year and had been traveling with a security team for months.
During dinner, Erika begged her husband to start wearing a bulletproof vest and, when he refused, the friend suggested he speak from behind bulletproof glass.
“Not yet,” Erika recalled Kirk replying, before he added that he felt confident in his security team and that there would be additional security at the Utah Valley University event.
Erika, who this week was named as the new chair of Turning Point USA, the movement Charlie founded in 2012, recounted how the sheriff advised against her seeing her husband’s body after the bullet had pierced his neck.

Charlie Kirk was ass@ssinated at a Turning Points USA rally in Utah on September 10.
“With all due respect, I want to see what they did to my husband,” she said, recalling how she kissed him goodbye at the hospital.
“His eyes were semi-open, and he had this knowing, Mona Lisa-like half-smile. Like he’d died happy. Like Jesus rescued him. The bullet came, he blinked, and he was in heaven,” she said.
The mother-of-two also gave devastating insights into her life since Kirk’s shocking death at the hands of an ass@ssin, revealing that she still couldn’t bring herself to wash the towels her husband had used for his last shower.

“To this day, I can’t go into my bedroom. I’m rotating where I sleep,” she said.
Erika also recounted how she met her future husband at a Turning Point event in 2018, and how President Trump has called her twice since the sh00ting.
The president has known Erika since 2012 when he was running the Miss USA beauty pageant and she was Miss Arizona, she told the Times. “Charlie was like a son to him. And when the president said, ‘Just let us know how we can support you,’ I told him, ‘My husband just loved conversing with you and using you as a sounding board for all sorts of things. Could we continue that?’ And he said, ‘Of course,’” Erika said.

Trump’s tone “was soft and embracing. I could tell he wanted to hug me,” she said.
Erika said the emotional 15-minute speech that she delivered two days after her husband’s death was filmed live and without notes, “Because that’s what Charlie would do, for sure.”
Ahead of Charlie’s funeral on Sunday, Erika said she is finding comfort in the Bible, and believes the k!lling “was God’s plan.”
She also pulled back from calling for the death penalty for Charlie’s suspected k!ller, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.
“I’ve had so many people ask, ‘Do you feel anger toward this man? Like, do you want to seek the death penalty?’ I’ll be honest. I told our lawyer, I want the government to decide this. I do not want that man’s blood on my ledger. Because when I get to heaven, and Jesus is like: ‘Uh, eye for an eye? Is that how we do it?’ And that keeps me from being in heaven, from being with Charlie?”
