Right now, prayers are being sent to Louisville after a UPS MD-11 erupted in a fiery explosion on Tuesday.
Numerous plane crashes have marked the year 2025, and November is no exception.
The worst crash of the year was in January, when American Airlines Flight 5342 collided with an Army Black Hawk helicopter in Washington, D.C., and killed everybody aboard.
On Tuesday, a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 operated by UPS Airlines crashed near Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. Three crew members were on board the aircraft.
A large cloud of black smoke billowed into the sky.
Now, we are seeing new footage of the UPS MD-11 from the ground as it can be seen trying to take off while on fire before it reaches the end of the track and explodes.
The United Parcel Service cargo jet can carry approximately 36,000 gallons of fuel, equivalent to around 300,000 pounds.

Mayor Greenberg confirmed multiple injuries, and the fire from the plane crash was still burning as of this writing. He has since stated that at least three people have died as a result of the crash, and 11 people are injured.
“Please join Rachel and me in praying for the crew of UPS flight 2976. This is an incredible tragedy that our community will never forget. We are so thankful for our brave first responders who have flooded the scene to help try and control the fire and provide support for any victims on the ground.” Mayor Greenberg also stated.

UPS Cargo Plane Crashes and Explodes in Massive Fireball During Takeoff in Louisville
A UPS cargo plane crashed and exploded in a massive fireball on Tuesday while taking off.
The aircraft went down as it departed from UPS Worldport at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, bound for Honolulu.
Footage captured by ground crew on another shows the jet already on fire as it accelerated down the runway before erupting into a huge fireball.
“Right now, we believe we have at least three fatalities, though I expect that number to rise. We also have at least 11 injuries, some of them very serious,” Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said.
The video reveals flames on the plane’s left wing as it lifted off the ground before crashing and exploding. Now, an incredible new angle shows the UPS cargo jet plowing through what appears to be a truck stop.
“Anyone who has seen the images and video knows how violent this crash was,” Beshear later added, per the BBC.

The UPS MD-11 carried 38,000 gallons of fuel when it crashed shortly after beginning its takeoff roll.
Louisville Metro Police Chief Paul Humphrey stated that his department will not address questions about the cause of the UPS cargo jet crash, as the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will lead the investigation.
