Ryan Clark had several issues with the behavior of a Texas State trooper on Saturday.
South Carolina players Nyck Harbor and Oscar Adaway III were walking through a stadium tunnel after Harbor caught an 80-yard touchdown pass when a trooper suddenly pushed in between them. The officer then scolded Harbor, who turned back but kept walking toward the field.
This led to an angry response from the police officer.
The police department announced on X that the officer was relieved of his game-day assignment and sent home.
Super Bowl winner and former LSU Tiger Ryan Clark recently reflected on the situation.

Ryan Clark was not thrilled with what he saw when a Texas State trooper bumped a few South Carolina players and then yelled at them.

Clark felt that no young man should face that level of aggression, which is why he released a two-minute video speaking about the incident.
Here is what social media said about his words.
“I typically would side with law enforcement, but I don’t even know what this officer was thinking. He should have been able to avoid physical contact or just got out of the way entirely. It’s definitely a bad look for the police,” one fan said.
“thats it, the officer wouldn’t do that to a group of White players on a field, he’d expect, accept and even enjoy the push, but the young men were black, he forgot it wasn’t the streets or a gas station, he just saw black and let it be known “I’m white don’t ever push me,” a second player said of what Ryan Clark stated.
“Not unacceptable. It was criminal. If you doubt that, imagine a college student would’ve done that to a state trooper. He would’ve been arrested and charged with assault,” a third fan wrote.
“He will no longer be working games, as it should be,” a fourth fan commented.
“Like you said, God only knows what he does when nobody is watching. Smh sad.. racism is ripping this country apart by the seams,” a final fan added.
In a statement, the Texas Department of Public Safety said that the trooper was sent home for his actions. Texas A&M said the officer was relieved of his game-day duties.
If it were up to LeBron James, he would have that trooper suspended.
“The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is aware of the incident that occurred today during the Texas A&M football game,” the statement read.
“The DPS Trooper involved was sent home from the game. Our Office of Inspector General (OIG) is also aware of the incident and will be further looking into the matter. No additional information will be released at this time.”
The Gamecocks went on to lose the game 31-30 as Texas A&M pulled off its largest comeback in school history.
