University Of Michigan Makes Surprising Decision On Sherrone Moore’s Mistress, Paige Shiver

While Sherrone Moore is out of a job, the woman he’s accused of having an affair with is not.

That’s right. The University of Michigan is keeping Paige Shiver.

Moore was fired from his position as football head coach nearly a week ago. The school terminated him for cause, citing an “inappropriate relationship” with a staffer.

“There is absolutely no tolerance for this conduct at the University of Michigan. None,” University president Domenico Grasso said in a statement.

The 39-year-old, who reportedly sanctioned a massive raise for his executive assistant, was later arrested.

He is now facing imprisonment if found guilty, having been charged with home invasion. He was also charged with stalking and breaking and entering without entering.

The aforementioned charges stem from his driving to Shiver’s house, where he threatened to kill himself and have her watch.

Meanwhile, Michigan has opted to keep Shiver around, despite the alleged affair.

The reason for this? According to the school, the rule prohibiting such relationships only applies to the individual in a position of power.

“Recognizing that Intimate Relationships exist or may develop in the workplace that are not initiated by a Supervisor and are free from coercion and abuse of power, immediate disclosure of the relationship by the Supervisor is required,” their policy states. “Failure of the Supervisor to disclose an Intimate Relationship is a serious offense and cause for discipline, up to and including dismissal from employment.”

Paige could have even kept the relationship to herself. Michigan’s policy also states that she was under no obligation to disclose.

Of course, she ended up doing just that, leading to Moore’s firing, even after he got her name on a menu…

“Although encouraged, Supervisees have no obligation to disclose,” the policy states.

The school’s policy also states that a supervisor should never “implicitly or explicitly, initiate or attempt to initiate an intimate relationship with a supervisee.”

It’s clear that Sherrone Moore had everything to lose here, but he didn’t let that stop him.
