Given it’s his first UFC appearance since July 2024, Aspinall has done plenty of media, including an interview with Australian outlet Kayo Sports.
Reporter Jon Bernard jokingly quizzed him about his ‘real dad’ considering his eerie resemblance with John, who is the father of Tyson Fury.
He asked: “Who is your real father? You’re from the same town… you look more like him than any of his other kids.”
To which Aspinall replied: “Well, my dad’s been saying it for 32 years and he’s not budged, so I think it’s Andy Aspinall.”

Asked if a DNA test needs to be done, Aspinall joked: “When you put a picture like that… it is uncanny how similar we look.
“We need to bring my dad in for this,” he added.
Andy, the father of the UFC heavyweight king, also weighed in and hilariously claimed a DNA test had already been done.
“He doesn’t know my wife, though,” he quipped. “He’s never met her.”
On whether a DNA test needs to be done, Andy replied: “It’s been done.”

The Aspinall family have worked with the Fury clan over the years, with Andy pals with Peter Fury.
The MMA superstar even sparred with Tyson when he was coached by Peter, who used to train the self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’.
Reflecting on his work with Peter, the 32-year-old said: “Peter Fury is a massively underrated person in boxing and combat sports.
“He’s amazing. He changed the way I think about fighting completely. Him, Hughie, Tyson, and John Fury made me start thinking of it as a sport rather than life or death. That’s what it used to be for me, I used to take it so seriously.”
