The Denver Broncos paid tribute to Marshawn Kneeland with a moment of silence ahead of their ‘Thursday Night Football’ clash against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Kneeland, a defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys, was the subject of a devastating report from the team, having reportedly taken his own life.

The 24-year-old had scored his first career touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night but was dead two nights later, with police having relayed that he passed away from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after leading troopers on a chase.

The Broncos joined the Cowboys and the rest of the football community in mourning the DE’s passing before playing Vegas on Thursday night.

“Class act. Not a peep from the crowd,” a user commented.

“I hope every stadium does this in honor,” said another.

“@nfl need to start kicking people out screaming obscenities during moments of silence. Who does that? & WHY? Tf wrong with this country?” said a third, who was probably at the game.

“Family over football. Respect to the Denver Broncos,” said a fourth.

“Complete class from the Broncos 💯,” another comment read.

Kneeland was a second-round pick by the Cowboys last year. He made 18 appearances for the NFC team before this week’s tragedy.
