TMZ Sports has obtained audio from the 911 call Kelli made on the day her husband was axed from his position over an affair with a staffer.

Kelli asked officers whether they could track Sherrone’s phone because she was afraid he would hurt himself.

“Because he said that to me … he said he’s trying to kill himself,” she’s heard saying.

Moore’s wife had no idea where he was at the time. She was asked for more information, but could only relay that the coach had just lost his job and was “in crisis.”

“He just called me saying he got fired from his job, and he’s in crisis,” she said. “I told him that I love him and that I need him to come home, but I don’t know where he is. He said he was on a highway.”

Kelli would explain that the spouse in question was none other than the Wolverines head coach.

“I just need to make sure he’s safe,” she begged.“He’s called a couple times, and I’m terrified he’s gonna do something to himself. I told him to come home.”

Moore did not go home…

He went to the residence of the staffer he was accused of having an affair with. Prosecutors say he forced his way in, grabbed butter knives and scissors from a kitchen drawer, then threatened to kill himself while she watched.

“I am going to kill myself,” Moore was quoted as having said. “I’m going to make you watch. My blood is on your hands. You ruined my life.”

Police later found Moore at a nearby church. They arrested the former Michigan HC and subsequently charged him with felony home invasion.

Kelli has stuck by her husband through the ordeal and was pictured out in public with him shortly after his release.

The 39-year-old is scheduled to appear in court later this month. He is also facing misdemeanor charges of stalking and breaking and entering.

Meanwhile, former Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham has replaced Moore at Michigan.
