Shedeur Sanders’ Mom Rips The Cleveland Browns After Rookie QB Makes His Debut In Heartbreaking Loss [VIDEO]

Shedeur Sanders’ mother, Pilar Sanders, threw some shade at the Cleveland Browns after the rookie quarterback made his regular-season debut against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Sanders, a fifth-round pick by the Browns earlier this year, came on for starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel after the latter exited the game with a concussion, which ultimately ruled him out.

The former Colorado star made two completions on his first drive after coming on, but was sacked on a third down and fumbled the ball as a result. Cleveland recovered the fumble and punted.

His second drive ended in a turnover, as he threw an interception.

Sanders completed 4-of-16 passes in the 23-16 loss, throwing for 47 yards, zero touchdowns, and that one INT.

Pilar Sanders was at Huntington Bank Field to watch her son play, sharing videos from the stadium after Shedeur went in.

Sanders cut a disappointed figure on the bench after the loss on Sunday, but claimed he was up to the task despite the shaky debut.

“I know I’m made for it. I don’t think there was a doubt in my mind on that final drive we were gonna go down and score,” he said, per The Athletic. “Things happened, and we didn’t.”

Head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters Gabriel will start once he clears the league’s concussion protocol, adding that Sanders will start against the Las Vegas Raiders next week if the former doesn’t get the green light.
