Myles Garrett appears to be very upset with the Cleveland Browns.

Myles Garrett’s latest social media activity strongly indicates that he’s unhappy with the Cleveland Browns.

On Wednesday, the Browns named former Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken their new head coach. Monken spent the previous three years as Baltimore’s OC under John Harbaugh, who was fired before getting picked up by the New York Giants.

After the Browns hired Monken, another stunning report emerged about the team’s well-respected defensive coordinator, Jim Schwartz. Apparently upset that he wasn’t named the new head coach, Schwartz reportedly left the Browns’ facility and said goodbye to people in the organization, letting them know he wasn’t returning.

Following the stunning report about Schwartz, Myles Garrett shared this cryptic post on his Instagram story:

Make of that as you will. But one can only wonder if this will bring back Garrett’s desire to leave Cleveland. Remember, he requested a trade last year before agreeing to a four-year extension worth $160 million.

If Schwartz leaves Cleveland, it’s easy to understand why Garrett would be upset. He just finished with 23 sacks, setting a new single-season record.

Cleveland had one of the NFL’s best defenses under Schwartz in 2023 and 2025. Losing him would be a big blow to the organization, especially if it leaves the franchise player disgruntled.

Through his first nine NFL seasons, Garrett has 125.5 sacks and 23 forced fumbles, per Pro Football Reference. If Cleveland is to re-emerge as a playoff contender, it’ll need Garrett to stick around long-term.

Cleveland still has time to convince Schwartz to stay. But if he doesn’t, it’s on Todd Monken, the front office and ownership to be on the same page with Garrett. Losing a popular and respected genius like Schwartz would be a tough start to the Monken era.
