Strahan became one of the best defenders in NFL history during his 15 seasons with the New York Giants.
Since his retirement, he has utilized his gift of gab to excel in his television career. For almost two decades, he has been an analyst on the pregame show “Fox NFL Sunday” and hosts the game show “$100,000 Pyramid.”
He also co-hosted several talk shows, most notably “Live! with Kelly and Michael” with Kelly Ripa from 2012 to 2016.
Now, he’s ready for another chapter.

When you think of fencing, Strahan’s name may not come to mind. That will be changing in the future.
On Thursday’s edition of “Good Morning America,” the NFL Hall of Famer, who said retirement could soon be on the way, was joined by Olympic fencer Miles Chamley-Watson to announce the brand-new World Fencing League, the sport’s first professional league.

The league, founded by Chamley-Watson, will make its debut in Los Angeles in April 2026 and feature 12 different fencers from around the world. The league already has plans to expand to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and other parts of the U.S.
“Thank you so much for having me,” Chamley-Watson said. “It’s an honor. So for the first time, I am announcing the World Fencing League, which is the first time you can be a professional in the sport of fencing. I wanted to kind of create a road map for kids and especially for parents that invest in their kids. So for the first time, there’s an endgame and a roadmap to hopefully get to where I am and even more than that.”
“‘I wanted to create a roadmap for kids.’ Miles Chamley-Watson talks making history with the first World Fencing League,” Good Morning America wrote.

There will undoubtedly be a lot of discussion about what the new fencing league allows. Just this year, Stephanie Turner went viral for refusing to fight a transgender opponent.
Strahan, who played 15 seasons at defensive end for the New York Giants from 1993 to 2007, ranks fifth in NFL history with 141.5 quarterback sacks.
