Halloween came early for Michael Strahan this year, and it didn’t end well for whoever thought it’d be funny to scare a 6-foot-5 Super Bowl champion on live television.

During FOX NFL Sunday’s Halloween show, New York Giants legend and Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan became the target of a prank that went a bit too far. A masked person snuck up behind him on set, trying to scare him. Everyone around burst out laughing, except Strahan, who didn’t find it funny.

Later, a Good Morning America producer joked online that Strahan would fire her if she ever tried something like that during their show. Strahan quickly replied with a blunt response: “Someone will be.”

The moment came just after ex-Cowboys star Tony Romo gained attention for an odd live comment that left CBS viewers unhappy.

Pranks, Payback, And Strahan’s Warning

FOX NFL Sunday has always been part football show, part comedy act. Every week, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Rob Gronkowski, Curt Menefee, and Jay Glazer fill the studio with jokes and wild moments. Usually, Michael Strahan is the one leading the fun, but this time, he was the one getting pranked.

It’s not the first time the FOX crew has pulled something like this. Earlier in the year, Strahan and Glazer teamed up to prank Gronk during a fake segment about a made-up player named “Rich Russo.” They convinced Gronk that the Cowboys had signed a mystery tight end coming back from injury. Strahan even joked that Russo reminded him of Gronk, until the former Patriot finally realized it was all fake.

So when Halloween came around, payback was bound to happen, only this time, Strahan was the target. His reaction made it clear he wasn’t thrilled.

Still, FOX insiders say the team’s chemistry is as strong as ever. Strahan, who splits his time between FOX and Good Morning America, plans to stick around for years. The crew already adjusted earlier this season when Jimmy Johnson retired and Gronk joined full-time. However, after this latest prank, it seems their next team meeting might begin with a friendly warning.
