Justin Fields and the New York Jets might not be having their best season, but that does not mean that you can just tee off on a quarterback.

In the second quarter game against the Carolina Panthers, Fields decided to call his own number and rush for a first down.

Unfortunately, he found himself being blasted right into his chest and head area by a Panthers defender. Fields appeared to be out cold, but would soon jump to his feet.

His teammates were pissed as they came in ready for a fight. Refs struggled to separate everybody as flags flew.

The Panthers were called for roughing the passer, and Justin Fields left the game and headed to the blue medical tent.

Since the initial removal from the game, Fields was checked out and given the green light to return to the game.

It’s been a trying year for Fields, especially after he was carted off the field over a scary injury in training camp.

The Jets are 0-6 and hoping to finally get a win on Sunday.

Fortunately for him, his coach has his back.

“I don’t think you just try to bench a player after having one true bad game,” Aaron Glenn said Monday to reporters.
