Everyone Is Praying For NFL Legend Bernie Kosar

Football fans are praying for Bernie Kosar after the former Cleveland Browns quarterback announced a concerning health update in a video shared on X/Twitter.
On Wednesday morning, Bernie Kosar announced that he required “two aggressive procedures” after experiencing internal bleeding. Kosar was scheduled to undergo a liver transplant, but an infection has pushed the operation back.

The 61-year-old Kosar said he’ll undergo a third procedure and asked for support and prayers in a video message:

“Sending all the prayers today to our QB1 Bernie Kosar. He can use all of our love and support as he fights right now. All good vibes brother. 🙏,” wrote Chris McNeil.
“Hang in there Bernie! Much ❤️& 🙏🏼!” said a user.

“Keep fighting just as you did after Nebraska tied it up. Jim Kelly fought and won, you can too!” wrote a fan.
“Keep fighting Bernie! I got my prayer warriors in, too! Gonna add you to the church prayers list. I love you, Bernie, thank you for all your positivity, keep spreading that infectious attitude!!” said a fan.

In July 2024, Kosar announced that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and cirrhosis of the liver. Two months later, fellow former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre also announced that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s.
Bernie Kosar Put Cleveland Browns Back On The Map In The 1980s

Kosar was the quarterback of the Browns during their best years in the Super Bowl era. He led them to three AFC Championship Games over a four-year period (1986, 1987 and 1989), but they fell to John Elway’s Denver Broncos each time.
The 1987 Pro Bowler is third on Cleveland’s career passing yards list (21,904) and fourth in passing touchdowns (116), per Pro Football Reference. Kosar also won a Super Bowl ring as Troy Aikman’s backup quarterback on the Dallas Cowboys in the 1993 season.
Kosar appeared in 108 games altogether and threw for 23,301 yards and 124 touchdowns. He had his best season in 1987, earning a Pro Bowl nod after throwing for 3,033 yards and 22 touchdowns.
