“Embrace That Sh*t” – Sophie Cunningham Destroys The Buffalo Bills Over Controversial Decision

Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham called out the Buffalo Bills and questioned their decision to move into a new stadium for 2026.
The Bills have been playing at Highmark Stadium since 1973, the fourth-oldest active NFL venue. The only older stadiums in use are Soldier Field (home of the Chicago Bears since 1924), Lambeau Field (Green Bay Packers, opened in 1957) and Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City Chiefs, 1972).
But the Bills are set to move into the 62,000-seat New Highmark Stadium in 2026, located right across the street from Highmark Stadium. The cost for the new venue? A hefty $2.2 billion.
While rain and snow aren’t super uncommon scenes in Buffalo Bills home games, New Highmark Stadium will have a canopy roof to protect fans from the freezing winter conditions.
During the latest episode of the “Show Me Something” podcast that Sophie Cunningham co-hosts with West Wilson, the two discussed their discontent with the trend of domes or roofs in new NFL stadiums.
“I’m a hundred percent agreeing with you…it gives the home team an advantage,” Sophie Cunningham said. “Like when you’re used to it…why would you not embrace that shit?”
Wilson noted that the Super Bowl is no longer played in cold outdoor stadiums, with Cunningham adding, “people are going to complain regardless.”

Sophie Cunningham’s First Season With Indiana Ended Prematurely

In January, Caitlin Clark’s Fever acquired Cunningham in a four-team trade involving the Phoenix Mercury, Dallas Wings and Connecticut Sun. And it didn’t take long for Cunningham to make a significant impact on her new team.
Clark was roughed up aplenty during her rookie season, and WNBA officials notably missed numerous obvious calls against her opponents. But after coming over to Indiana, Cunningham embraced the “enforcer” role and emerged as Clark’s enforcer.
Notably, Sophie Cunningham went after Connecticus star Jacy Sheldon and began a brawl due to the latter poking Clark in the eye earlier in the game. Cunningham’s popularity skyrocketed after that, and there’s no telling how much harder Indiana will be to play against next year with her and Clark on the court together.
