Jelly Roll is ready for the Super Bowl to go country.
Jelly Roll seems to know what the Super Bowl could do when it comes to their halftime show.
Arizona Cardinals Hire Mike LaFleur as Head Coach
It seems everything is political these days, and the Super Bowl halftime show is no different. Once Bad Bunny was announced for the halftime show, fans have been railing against it. Since the announcement, Turning Point USA has created an alternative halftime show with no officially announced acts.
And there is a petition with almost 123,000 signatures urging the National Football League to jettison Bad Bunny in favor of country star George Strait.
Other people have asked why the halftime show hasn’t gone country. Shania Twain was the last country artist to perform during a Super Bowl halftime show. That was back in 2003. A country act has not headlined the halftime show in over 20 years.
Jelly Roll is ready for that to change.

Jelly Roll has recently expressed his desire to see a country music-focused theme at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in the future.
Less than a week until Bad Bunny takes the stage, the rapper and singer revealed he would like the Super Bowl to be held in his hometown of Nashville. He wants that to happen within the next three to five years. The NFL typically doesn’t like placing the big game in cold-weather cities.

However, the new $2.1 billion Nissan Stadium in Nashville is under construction for a 2027 opening. A future Super Bowl could happen.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Jelly said, “We are getting a new stadium in Nashville, and I have a dream that they do a country music-themed halftime show.” He continued, “Maybe they just let me do a little 20 or 30 seconds in it.”
He then added, “I want to see Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton.” “I would love to see some new garner come in, and that’s my dream,” stated the 41-year-old.
We’ll just have to wait and see if the NFL will take the chance in not only coming to Nashville, but booking country music talent.
