The head of Charlie Kirk’s contracted security is finally breaking his silence months after his shooting death.

In a powerful video, Brian Harpole addresses conspiracy theories surrounding Kirk’s death.

In the aftermath of his death, Kirk’s bodyguards became public enemy number one as social media pointed out that they appeared to be using deliberate hand signals before his assassination at Utah Valley University. In the seconds after his shooting, video shows security guards surrounding the stage and springing into action to protect him.

Aside from what security did, there has been much talk about Erika Kirk, who went from his unknown wife to the face of his entire brand after his death. It was later found out that the 36-year-old widow of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk competed in Miss USA representing Arizona. It was co-owned by Donald Trump at the time.

Kirk’s assassination on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University thrust Erika into the national spotlight.

Now Brian Harpole is pushing back against conspiracy theorists.

Harpole was head of Kirk’s security for the American Comeback Tour on the Utah Valley University campus on Sept. 10.

Harpole told podcaster Shawn Ryan that no deliberate security gestures were made before Kirk was shot. Harpole said his team didn’t use hand signals at all.

‘If we needed to relay a message, then we’d [say it] on comms… if we notice something, we’re not gonna use a hand signal,’ he said.

He added that if they did use such techniques, they would never rely on ‘normal’ gestures that could be mistaken for everyday movements.

‘(We’d use signals that) can’t be confused with a man scratching his a–,’ he said.

‘It’s not good communication,’ he continued.

On theories related to Erika being involved in the killing of Charlie Kirk, Harpole said: ‘She’s a victim, that’s her husband. How people without any proof are saying she’s responsible, that’s what makes me lose faith.’

Harpole also spoke about what the doctor told him about why there was no exit wound from the bullet.
