ESPN’s Stephen A Smith is taking some serious heat on social media following one of the most curious takes he’s delivered in recent times.

The ‘First Take’ host was one of the people whom fans were most looking forward to hearing from following reports of NBA personalities Chauncey Billups and Terry Rozier getting arrested.

Once they heard what he had to say, most of them were upset.

The clip below shows Smith suggesting that Donald Trump is on the warpath and is coming for everyone, even the WNBA, after the justice system tried to put him away.

Smith pointed to the fact that FBI Director Kash Patel held a press conference addressing the arrests, claiming it was unprecedented, as he warned that Trump is out for revenge and people should watch out.

Fans absolutely went in on the analyst, with many pointing out that the arrests stemmed from an operation that began before Donald Trump’s second term in office.

“Crazy take, but how about you get mad at the people who scammed the fans and cheated…..not at someone (who doesn’t even have anything to do with the situation), for punishing them!😭” someone commented.

“Yeah because guys in the NBA were illegally gambling and playing poker games with the mafia means that the bad white man is gonna come for the WNBA players who aren’t doing anything you’re so f***ing stupid,” another wrote.

“Why is everything made political? This investigation started before Trump got into office. So the FBI cracks down on illegal mafia and illegal gambling racket in the NBA but Trump is still a bad guy,” said a third.

Patel did confirm that the investigation was launched four years ago, when Joe Biden would have been in office.

The director also revealed that over 30 people were arrested as part of the sting, noting that four of the New York crime families were implicated.
