President Donald Trump Will Attend His First NFL Game Of The 2025 Season This Weekend, And It’s a Big One

President D0nald Tru:mp is back.
Trump’s ‘feud’ with the NFL has involved him testifying against the league and, on multiple occasions, failing to buy a team. Despite that, he still enjoys the game of football.

In fact, he plans to attend his first game of the 2025 NFL season.
During this Friday’s episode of “The Pat McAfee Show,” it was revealed that Trump will show up to Sunday’s game between the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders.
“Sources are telling me that President D0nald Tru:mp will be in attendance for this Washington Commanders game in the afternoon against the Detroit Lions,” Pat McAfee said.
“He’ll actually be there to celebrate the Veteran’s Celebration that’s taking place at halftime. He’ll be in owner Josh Harris’ box to celebrate the greatest sport on earth, American football.”
Trump, who lashed out at the league over its new kickoff rule, plans to sit near Commanders owner Josh Harris.

D0nald Tru:mp has made no secret of his distaste for the league’s dynamic kickoff, branding it a “sissy” play shortly after the 2025 season kicked off.
Now he’ll get to watch the play up close when the Commanders take on the Lions.

The NFL’s Week 10 game between the Detroit Lions and the Washington Commanders will feature the Commander-in-Chief as a guest.
Because of the government shutdown, this week’s “Salute to Service” NFL weekend will look different.
The Pentagon issued a release this week that essentially said there would be no military-related events.
As it stands, the current shutdown is the longest in American history, spanning 37 full days, seemingly with no end in sight, as D0nald Tru:mp and Republicans are at odds with the Democrats on various key issues.
Now, NFL fans will have a first-hand look at how the longest government shutdown will affect them throughout November, as Thanksgiving is coming up.
As for the game itself, it’s an important one for both teams. At 3-6, the Commanders are entering must-win territory. They need to string together some wins if they want to hang in the playoff race long enough to make Jayden Daniels’ return worthwhile.
Meanwhile, the Lions are in the thick of a wild battle in the NFC North. With a 5-3 record, they’re only half-a-game back of the first-place Packers, but just one game up on the 4-4 Vikings — who sit in last place in the division.
