BREAKING: NFL Drops The Hammer On Rams Puka Nacua

 

Puka Nacua’s repeated criticism of NFL officiating has hit him right in the wallet.

During a recent stream with N3on and Adin Ross, Puka Nacua made headlines when he accused the NFL refs of making terrible calls because they want to be on television. His criticism of the refs continued after the Los Angeles Rams fell 38-37 to the Seattle Seahawks in overtime on Thursday night.

Minutes after the game, Nacua once again took aim at the NFL refs in an X/Twitter post that was quickly deleted:

It was only a matter of time until the NFL dropped the hammer on Nacua. Indeed, it happened on Friday afternoon.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Puka Nacua has been fined $25,000 for his public criticism of the NFL referees.

Nacua and the Rams will look to rebound when they visit the Atlanta Falcons on ‘Monday Night Football’ on Dec. 29.

Puka Nacua’s Excellent ‘TNF’ Outing Went To Waste

Despite Thursday’s heartbreaking loss, Nacua had a career day for the Rams with 12 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns, per ESPN. He has already set career highs across the board with 114 catches for 1,592 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Rams led 30-14 in the fourth quarter, only to see the lead evaporate. Seattle scored 16 unanswered points in the final frame to force overtime. This included the craziest two-point conversion play in NFL history.

Puka Nacua’s Fams fell out of first place in the NFC, with Seattle taking its place. Even though they’re an impressive 11-4, the Rams are facing a strong likelihood of having to start the postseason on the road. They’ll have to win out and hope the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers each drop a game to claim the top spot.
