Sherrone Moore had an affair with a Michigan staffer, leading to his termination.

The Michigan Wolverines have already decided on the future of the staff member who had an affair with former head coach Sherrone Moore.

On Wednesday, the Wolverines announced that Sherrone Moore had been relieved of his duties for having an “inappopriate relationship” with a Michigan staff member. Moore was also taken into custody by local police on suspicion of assault.

Moore appeared in court on Friday and was hit with three charges: Third-degree home invasion, breaking and entering and stalking. He allegedly threatened to kill himself in front of the victim (an ex-girlfriend), telling her that she “ruined” his life.

As for the Michigan staffer who had the affair with Sherron Moore? A school source told TMZ Sports that the university still employs her.

“There is no change in her employment status,” the school told the outlet.

The 39-year-old Sherrone Moore and his wife, Kelli, have been together since 2015. They have three daughters together. He had been employed at Michigan since 2018, joining Jim Harbaugh’s staff as the tight ends coach.

Moore went 18-8 over his two seasons as the head coach of the Wolverines. He also went 3-0 as the interim HC in 2023, when Jim Harbaugh served a three-game suspension for the sign-stealing scandal.

If not for a blowout loss to Ohio State in “The Game”, Michigan may have qualified for the 12-team postseason. But they finished 9-3 in the regular season and will conclude their season against the Texas Longhorns in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
