Authorities arrested London, the son of former UGA star Richard Seymour, on January 29. That was after he and three other men damaged 11 doors in two of the university dorms as part of a TikTok challenge.

ESPN reports that the incident took place in early December.

“London Seymour, a freshman from Suwanee, Georgia, was charged with 11 felony counts of criminal damage to property. He posted bond and was released,” the outlet notes.

Seymour’s lawyer, Kim Stephens, told The Worldwide Leader in Sports that the UGA Police Department overreacted.

He added that he is looking to have the case dismissed via a pretrial diversion program. That would include Seymour and the other culpable parties paying for the damaged doors.

“The UGAPD took 11 warrants in a case that they could have and should have taken a single warrant,” Stephens offered.

He added:

“London and three other young men are alleged to have caused damage to 11 doors in a residence hall while participating in a viral TikTok ‘door kick’ challenge, as many other young people have done around the country.”

London Seymour Played In The Bulldogs’ 2025 Opener

Seymour joined the Georgia football program as a walk-on. He played in the team’s opening game against Marshall last season.

His father, a three-time Super Bowl winner, starred at Georgia from 1997 to 2000. He was a first-round pick for the New England Patriots in 2021, winning all three of his rings with the team.

The older Seymour recorded 57.5 sacks in 12 years in the pros. He spent the last four years with the Oakland Raiders before retiring in 2012.
