Police have released surveillance images of a suspect in the Manhattan shooting of New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd.

Now, we are getting a firsthand account of what happened right as the shots were let out.

A 13-second video released on social media shows women screaming as several men are fighting in the streets next to vehicles. One person could be seen in a headlock as a shot gets let off. Boyd is then seen next to a yellow cab, seemingly reacting to being shot and stumbling away. He then disappears off camera.

Kris Boyd was transported to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, going in and out of consciousness after being shot.

He was in stable condition as of Sunday night, according to law enforcement sources, who told CBS News. The 29-year-old was shot in the abdomen.

Fortunately, it appears that the Jets’ cornerback will survive his injuries and live to play another day. The cornerback had been on injured reserve for the Jets after suffering a shoulder injury during team practice in August.

As for the gunman, the suspect was last spotted wearing a black cap, black sweatshirt, black pants, multi-colored sneakers, and carrying a black book bag, according to the NYPD.

It isn’t clear if Kris Boyd was the intended target. As of now, it doesn’t matter. All that matters is that he recovers, and the person who pulled the trigger gets brought to justice.
