The fall from grace for Delonte West continues on as we move closer to a new year.

2025 was much of the same for him, and it looks like he might be ending it the same way it started.

Delonte West has been spotted outside again, but this time, he was in poor physical condition and was handcuffed before being taken to jail.

The former NBA star was reportedly found intoxicated in Los Angeles before being arrested for his own safety by the Fairfax County Police.

Police in Fairfax County, Va., responded to a call on Monday about an unidentified man who was shockingly found unconscious and did not appear to be breathing, according to a report from TMZ. Once officers made it to the scene, they found that the man, later identified as Delonte, was breathing and able to talk to them.

He would refuse an offer to go to the hospital. However, he was so intoxicated that police placed him under arrest for his own safety. It did not last long, as he has since been released, and it is unclear if he will face any charges.

Delonte West was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2008, and things have been terrible for him since the last time he played in the NBA. He has been battling severe mental health issues that eventually led to a heartbreaking spiral into homelessness.

In September, he was spotted in a vehicle and singing “Happy Birthday” to a woman’s husband.

Later in that same month, other people saw him shirtless and dancing before they would provide him with $20.

The recent ordeal serves as the latest run-in with the law for West, who simply cannot get past his mental issues to allow himself to get help long enough to stay off the street.

At this point, we can only hope and pray that Delonte West can somehow get past this.
