Very few fans and analysts thought the Seahawks and Patriots would make the playoffs at the start of the year, let alone win their respective conference championships. But both 14-3 clubs exceeded expectations, setting up a compelling Super Bowl 60 showdown at Levi’s Stadium on Feb. 8.
Mike Macdonald’s Seahawks are a considerable favorite over New England. But the game couldn’t look much more evenly matched on paper, as both teams finished in the top four in scoring offense and scoring defense.
ESPN’s Football Power Index agrees with the general public, too. The FPI gives the Seahawks a 60.1 percent chance to win Super Bowl 60, with the Patriots as a significant underdog at 39.9 percent.
Kickoff for Super Bowl 60 is 6:30 p.m. EST. Bad Bunny will headline the Super Bowl 60 halftime show, with Green Day also performing.

Drake Maye’s Patriots defeated the Denver Broncos 10-7 in a snow-filled affair. The Broncos’ offense got little going with star quarterback Bo Nix sidelined with a season-ending ankle injury.
Seattle held off the rival Los Angeles Rams 31-27 in a thrilling back-and-forth quarterback duel between Darnold and Matthew Stafford. This is the Seahawks’ first Super Bowl appearance in 11 years, when they lost to New England in Super Bowl 49.

The rematch of Super Bowl 49 is one fascinating storyline, even if both coaches and rosters are much different from 2014. Can New England kick-start another possible dynasty? Or will Seattle get long-awaited revenge?
Both teams are loaded with game-changers on both sides of the ball. This could be a defensive slugfest or a shootout similar to what we saw in the NFC Championship Game. Throw in the fascinating chess match between Macdonald and Mike Vrabel, and you have the makings of what could be an epic Super Bowl.
