Christina and her husband were found d3ad at around 9 a.m. A family member called the police, according to WBRC. Amid the tragedy was a young child inside the home. Police state that an unharmed 3-year-old was also found in the house.

The report says that Christina Chambers and her husband were found with gunshot wounds.

Chambers worked at WBRC full-time from 2015 to 2021. She would continue her work as a freelancer.

Reporter deaths have become too common lately. In August, veteran Washington sports reporter Rick Snider passed away. He suffered a stroke. It was just earlier this year when Super Bowl reporter Adan Manzano was found unresponsive. He was found d3ad in his hotel room.

In 2024, a pair of longtime NFL reporters passed away. Veteran New Orleans sports reporter Ed Daniels died from a heart attack. Daniels’ longtime producer, Mark Deane, died in a fatal car accident. That happened one day after attending Daniels’ funeral.
