The TV personality’s, 50, post to his Stories timeline was reshared from the mental health awareness Instagram account Shetalkz.
On a white background was a message typed in black ink.
“Vibe for 2024: If it feels wrong, don’t do it. Say exactly what you mean. Don’t be a people pleaser,” the text card read.
“Never speak bad about yourself. Trust your instincts. Never give up on your dreams. Be kind to yourself. Let go of what you can’t control.”
Carson had more time to be on social media since he was gone from Today’s Tuesday episode.
He was replaced by a regular host as his on-again off-again absence continues.
Dylan Dreyer, 42, who hosts Today Third Hour or fills in as meteorologist when Al Roker, 69, is out, filled in for Carson on Tuesday.
She led the PopStart segment, which breaks down the pop culture news of the day.
PICKING UP THE EXTRA SLACK
Carson usually hosts this segment, but he needs replacements when he is out.
Dylan typically fills in for him.
If Dylan is out, then Sheinelle Jones, 45, will lead the segment.
Carson was also out on Monday and Sheinelle filled in for him then.
He was last on Today on December 8.
CARSON’S OTHER JOB
In addition to his Today job, Carson is the host of the competition series, The Voice.
He has been the host since Season 1.
The Voice films in California while Today takes place in New York.
The live shows air on Mondays and Tuesday and Carson would not make it in time if he appeared on Today those days.
He is also typically out on Wednesdays, the day after The Voice, as well.
The finale of The Voice is tonight, which Carson will be on.
So, it is not clear when he will return to Today.
MISSING CARSON
Last week, Carson was left out of an important moment on Today.
The Today cast, including Al, Craig Melvin, Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Sheinelle, and Dylan sat down together during Thursday’s episode to reminisce on the year they had.
Carson was nowhere to be found that day, as he remained absent, because he hosted The Voice the day prior.
Tears flowed among the present hosts who thanked their producers, co-hosts, and everyone on the morning show.
Sheinelle thanked the viewers for tuning in and watching.
Craig told everyone that he loved them.
