Johnny Manziel is just a guy now, having come off one of the most promising career trajectories to flame out in the NFL.

The former quarterback began his football journey at Kerrville, Texas, starring for Tivy High School, where he passed for over 7,500 yards and 75 touchdowns, earning national praise.

He stepped up to college football at Texas A&M, where he would shoot up into celebrity, earning the nickname “Johnny Football” and becoming the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy, leading the Aggies to an 11-2 record in their SEC debut.

Manziel threw for 3,706 yards and 24 touchdowns, gaining an additional 1,400 yards on the ground.

The Cleveland Browns selected him as the 22nd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft following a sophomore year in which he recorded 4,114 passing yards and 37 touchdowns.

Manziel’s NFL career was as dramatic as it was short-lived. He played just two seasons, starting eight games, going 2-6. Off-field issues such as wild partying, a domestic violence investigation, and missed practices assisted his quick exit.

Manziel recently appeared in a street interview in which he claimed he’s “just a guy.”

“I was a football player at one point in time… I’m just a guy now,” he said.

Check it out below:

Some shocking behind-the-scenes info on Johnny Manziel’s career came to light in the Netflix documentary, ‘UNTOLD: Johnny Football’.

The former signal-caller would reveal having watched zero film while with the Browns, also confessing to drug use and suicidal thoughts after things went south.

Despite the above, Manziel remains a popular figure. But he definitely has regrets following his early burnout and squandered opportunities.

Brittney Griner Finally Breaks Her Silence Over Alleged Caitlin Clark Comments That The WNBA Refused To Investigate

WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.

The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.

The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”

However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.

It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.

Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.

The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.

Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got aw@y with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.

This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.

At family dinner, my mother-in-law suddenly screamed that her $10,000 was missing. Before I could react, my sister-in-law pointed straight at me. “It was her! I saw her sneaking into Mom’s room!” she shouted. In an instant, my MIL grabbed a baseball bat and ordered me to confess. “I didn’t take—” I tried to explain, but the bat was already swinging—aimed directly at me and my 4-year-old daughter. Instinct kicked in; I wrapped my arms around her as my MIL roared, “Where’s my money?!” At that exact moment, the front door slammed open—my husband had just walked in.

When the door swung open, I thought I had simply come home a little early. But then everything collapsed around me: my mother lay on the floor, blood seeping from the corner of her mouth… and the phone beside her showed only one final message—my father on a yacht, hand in hand with a woman I had never seen before. In that moment, I understood that the secrets in my family were far darker than anything I had ever imagined.

In front of 52 family members, my mom held up her glass, gestured to my sister, and said proudly, “This is the daughter who’s always been there for us. The other one? She’s never done anything.” I stayed silent. No one knew that I was the daughter who’d been paying their mortgage and bills for nearly a decade. So I simply smiled, set my drink down, and walked out of the reunion. The next morning, my phone screen lit up—38 missed calls waiting for me.

The Burtons’ annual family reunion was always loud, chaotic, and soaked in cheap champagne, but…
