Jimmy Kimmel’s Show Returning Tonight, ABC Announces

Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show will return on ABC tonight, nearly a week after it was pre-empted amid criticism of his remarks about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. “We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday,” parent company Disney said yesterday. The network pulled the show on Sept. 17 after Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr threatened to revoke ABC affiliate licenses over Kimmel’s comments.

Hoda Kotb, 61, spoke on the “Open Book with Jenna” podcast about being an older mom, which she thinks gives her an advantage while raising daughters Haley, 8, and Hope, 6. “Sometimes when people would say, ‘Oh, you’re an older mom,’ I kind of get an ouch, even though it’s true. … Sixty-one with a third grader and a first grader. Anyway, I am kind of sitting in the fact that I come with wisdom now,” she told Jenna Bush Hager.
