Joy was absent from The View on November 11, 12 and 13. (She was also not featured on the November 10 episode, but she normally has Mondays off.)

On Tuesday, Whoopi explained how she was “out” and would “hopefully” be back the following day.

But on Wednesday, Joy was nowhere to be seen.

Whoopi went on to reveal Joy was unable to attend the taping on Wednesday, as well as her previous expected appearance on Tuesday.

Speaking at the top of the show on Wednesday, Whoopi said, “Well, hello, hello, hello, and welcome to The View, y’all.”

“Now, Joy is out because she hurt her foot, and hopefully she’ll be back here tomorrow.”

However, she still hadn’t returned on Thursday.

“As you can see, Joy is not here, but she will be back!” Whoopi promised viewers.

Joy, however, did send Whoopi a lasagna to celebrate her 70th birthday.

Alyssa Farah Griffin noted Joy had been home baking during her days off.

‘WHERE THE HELL IS JOY?’

All week, fans have been asking where Joy has been.

“Where the hell is Joy these days?” asked one fan on X.

“No Joy today,” said someone else.

This comes after Whoopi, who has been a mainstay on the hit show for 18 years, revealed earlier this year that she did not see herself retiring anytime soon.

When asked if she was thinking of winding down to enjoy life, she gave a very blunt and brutal response.

“Yeah, but who can afford to do that? You know if you don’t marry well, you gotta keep working,” she said.

The reporter then suggested that she could be someone who could afford not to work.

Whoopi replied, “No, not by now. Not yet.”

Later on in the interview, she added, “I’ve got to keep paying those bills, baby.”

Joy, who was also part of the interview, then added, “Creative people don’t retire, they don’t resign, they just keep going.”
