Frisco track meet stabbing suspect to seek reduction in bond, new charge | FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth

Karmelo Anthony has been charged with murde3r in the fatal st@bbing of another student at a track meet. The incident occurred Wednesday morning at a Frisco Independent School District stadium during a track and field championship involving multiple schools.

Anthony st@bbed Austin Metcalf at a high school track meet at the David Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco, Texas. The teenager was left to d!e in his twin brother’s arms as police officers arrested the suspect.

Amidst his arrest, he allegedly had some interesting things to state about his actions.

Anthony allegedly told the cops that he was protecting himself as Metcalf put his hands on him.

One officer who responded to the scene said Anthony told him unprompted, without being asked any questions about the incident, “I was protecting myself.”

When the officer advised another responding officer that he had “the alleged suspect,” Karmelo Anthony reportedly responded, “I’m not alleged; I did it.”

The horrific incident triggered a massive debate on social media as to whether it was a racial attack. Metcalf’s father said the incident was not racial, while Anthony’s father says his son was not the aggressor.

Anthony stated that Austin touching him once or multiple times after being warned is certainly going to be used in his case as a cause for self-defense.
