HEARTBREAKING: Karmelo Anthony & His Family Receive Terrible News That Has Him Facing Life In 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘯

Karmelo Anthony, the 17-year-old charged with the murd3r of a teenager of the same age, Austin Metcalf, has received some terrible news as it pertains to his case.
According to reports, Anthony is set to be tried as an adult. And while the D3ath penalty is off the table, he would face life in prison if found guilty.
Anthony was arrested and underwent due process following Metcalf’s D3ath in April. The teens got into a fight at a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas, after Metcalf told Anthony to leave his team’s area. The latter is alleged to have taken a knife from his bag and st@bbed Metcalf in the heart.
He fled the scene, but police caught up with him shortly after, leading to an immediate confession.
State Law Allows For Karmelo Anthony To Be Tried As An Adult

Given that Texas is a concurrent jurisdiction state, Anthony can be tried as an adult, with prosecutors permitted to charge minors as young as 16 years as adults with certain offenses.
A conviction could see him spend the rest of his life in prison with the possibility of parole after 40 years.
The teenager is currently under house arrest following the payment of a $250,000 bond.
