GMA’s George Stephanopoulos has been replaced by a brand-new face, with fans left concerned over his absence.
The brand new face on Good Morning America even shockingly said, “I’ll try not to drive the ratings into the ground” while taking over from the iconic host.

George wasn’t seen hosting alongside Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan on Wednesday, and instead the pair were joined by Joe Buck.
Joe is from ESPN, and is seemingly taking over from George while he has a week-long vacation.
Hosts of daytime television shows often take time out to go on vacation, but they’d usually be replaced with a familiar face who works on the show.
Joe’s appearance is rather unorthodox as he is a sportscaster for ESPN, and isn’t a regular face on GMA.

On Wednesday morning, Robin and Michael pointed out that Joe wasn’t used to such an early start.
Joe said, “I don’t know how you do this every day.”
He then joked: “I’ll try not to drive the ratings into the ground.”
‘WHERE IS GEORGE?’
Earlier this week on social media, fans were quick to ask where George was and why Joe was standing in for him.

A second slammed, “@GMA seriously? Joe Buck? What is wrong with you people?

A third then added, “Please tell me Joe Buck is not permanently on Good Morning America.”
While a fourth echoed, “Yes I will literally stop watching. Hopefully George is just on vacation.”
The reason for George’s absence has not been revealed, but he is likely missing from the show due to a vacation and spending time with his wife Ali Wentworth.

NEW ADDITION TO FAMILY
George recently suffered a devastating loss, and earlier this month revealed his family had welcomed a new addition.
George and his wife Ali welcomed a new addition to the Stephanopoulos family at the start of July.
“Meet Fig! Say hello to the newest member of @gstephanopoulos and @therealaliwentworth’s family,” the caption for the adorable clip shared on the GMA Instagram page read.
In the video, the couple can be seen beaming and smiling while holding their new puppy, Fig.
Fans were quick to react to the happy news, with one commenting: “She’s adorable!!”
“Hi Fig!! Such a beautiful Labrador that face is gorgeous,” said a second.
Back in May, George and Ali suffered a devastating family loss when with the passing of their dog, Cooper.
The dog’s death happened after the couple celebrated their daughter Elliott’s graduation from Brown University.
George and Ali, who is an actress, comedian, and writer, have been married since 2001.
The happy couple share two daughters, Elliott and Harper.
